Determine subrogation potential early, if possible at the FNOL (Carrier) or when receiving the claim assignment (Adjusting Firm - TPA) 2. Cause & Origin It is essential to determine the Cause & Origin early.  At first notice of subrogation determine if experts are needed and if so ensure that the right expert is utilized for the right project. 3. Preserve the evidence. Make all parties aware at first contact to preserve the evidence.  Obtain or inspect the evidence as quickly as possible. 4. Hire the correct experts. Hire experts that fit the need (Product defect, Improper Workmanship or Negligent Act). 5. Due Diligence. Maintain constant contact with all parties involved to reach a timely and appropriate settlement.
